Curley Community Center (L Street Bathhouse), M Street entrance

The two land locations for the swim are:

  • Boston Harbor Yacht Club, which will host the dinner the night before the race and will be the gathering point the morning of the race for swimmers to meet their escort vessels and motor to the starting line

  • Curley Community Center (L Street Bathhouse), where the check-in/pre-swim meeting will be held, the finish line and awards celebration site after the race. Swimmers are encouraged to have family and friends meet them on the beach at L Street at the end of the race.

The BHYC and the Curley Community Center are very close to each other along Columbia Boulevard in South Boston. Getting to South Boston is easy from Route 93, and there’s usually on-street parking available in the morning along Columbia Road near the Boston Harbor Yacht Club (1805 Columbia Road, near the O Street intersection) and the L Street Bathhouse (three blocks west of BHYC). On street parking is marked. Be careful not to park in a resident permit-only space, as you will be ticketed. Use www.mapquest.com or maps.google.com to get directions from your location.

From downtown Boston and points north and west of the city, head south on Interstate 93 and take Exit 15 for JFK Library/South Boston. At the end of the ramp, turn left, go halfway around the traffic circle, pass the police barracks, and follow William J. Day Boulevard (which becomes Columbia Road) to either the light at L Street or at the BHYC. You can park on the parallel street or side streets that don’t require resident permits.

The finish will be at the L Street Bathhouse (Curley Community Center), M Street entrance, 1663 Columbia Road, South Boston, MA
